Week long series of pop up fashion events and activities to encourage more retail, leisure and culture in the early evening in the Sheffield city centre.
Sheffield BID is funded by retailers, bars, restaurants and other businesses in the Sheffield city centre, with the aim of working collectively to enhance the vibrancy of the city centre.
They wanted to run Sheffield’s version of a fashion week, as part of their Alive After Five campaign, to get everyone experiencing more retail, leisure and culture in the early evening. The events needed to engage the high street, independent and vintage retailers as well as other businesses based in the city centre.

To ensure maximum engagement in Style Sheffield from the stakeholders, we designed a diverse core programme of fashion events, including;
The Vault – A jewellery showcase with expert talks on diamonds and accessorizing your look.
Fashion Through The Ages – Vintage evening with displays from different eras, mini vintage makeovers, a talk from an independent collector and a live singer performing songs from the 20s – 70s.
Independent Designer Showcase – Sample sale from Sheffield independent fashion designers, with food trucks, a DJ and a local graffiti artist creating a fashion themed piece.
Beauty Evening – A personal shopping experience with high street and independent beauty brands, including makeup demos and mini makeovers/samples at each stall.
Styling Evening – Personal shopping experience with high street retailers, with rails of clothing to browse and experts to talk with, a talk from a personal stylist and the chance to find out your body shape/colouring.
Fashion Show – A wow factor big finale held in Sheffield Cathedral with 4 retailers walking, a magic mirror photo booth to enjoy, prosecco on arrival and a DJ playing into the evening.
In addition to this, we worked with retailers, restaurants and bars to run their own fringe events, which we promoted via the event website to broaden the overall event programme.
To further increase the number of businesses involved in the fashion events, we used central venues and gave all city-centre businesses the opportunity to include discounts, vouchers and promotional material in the Style Sheffield gift bags.
In total, we had over 800 registrations to the events and we engaged with 30+ retailers.
Working with You & Us on Style Sheffield was an absolute pleasure. Laura, Celina and the team were friendly and professional throughout, ensuring that the event ran smoothly and guests had a fantastic experience from start to finish. In the run-up to the event, communication was frequent and clear, and on the day itself, everything was taken care of so we could sit back and enjoy Style Sheffield ourselves.
